Voluntary Standards

General Standards for Livestock
The general standards for livestock consist of several sub-groups, namely: cattle and buffalo, poultry, swine, animal feed, and others.

General Standards for Livestock

Sub-group: Cattle and Buffalo
    This agricultural standard establishes the criteria for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for beef cattle farms, covering farm components, feed for beef cattle, water, farm management, animal health, animal welfare, environmental management, and record keeping, in order to produce healthy cattle and obtain beef and other products of suitable quality for use in the production of safe food for consumption.

Sub-group: Poultry
    The chicken meat standard is the standard for meat from animals of the species Gallus domesticus, defined as fresh meat that has not undergone processing. It covers the process from slaughterhouses to transportation to the market.

Sub-group: Pigs
    The pork meat standard is the standard for meat from animals of the family Suidae, defined as fresh meat that has not undergone processing. It covers the process from slaughterhouses to transportation to the market.

Sub-group: Animal Feed
    This agricultural standard covers the criteria for Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) for forage crops, including grasses and legumes used as animal feed, from cultivation to post-harvest practices, in order to ensure quality, safety, and suitability for animal feeding.

Sub-group: Others
    It covers bees, stingless bees, pets, and food-producing animals, including requirements on animal health and animal welfare for farms, slaughterhouses, transportation, and products such as honey, milk, and meat.
